Coloring Contest for Kids! The Office of Child Support and Crawford County CSEA is holding a statewide children’s coloring/drawing contest to bring awareness to the importance of child support.  You can submit your child’s drawing by September 15, 2017, to the Crawford County CSEA, who will select winners for the county.  Prizes will be given for first, second, and third place.  The first place drawing will be sent to the State Office of Child Support for possible publication in next year’s Child Support Month Awareness activities!   Attached to this letter please find a release form to be used for the coloring contest.  We ask that the child color on one side of the form and that the parent/guardian provide some basic information and sign the agreement for possible publication on the other side of the form.  Please submit one drawing per contestant.  Release Form.

New Transportation

Crawford County has a NEW public transportation provider.  Effective January 3rd, 2017, SCAT (Seneca-Crawford Area Transportation) will provide transportation for Crawford county residents. SCAT is a door-to-door, curb-to-curb transportation organization that provides local as well as out-of-county trips to the public of Seneca and Crawford Counties. Get Your High School Diploma or GED

Don’t have a high school diploma?  There are now several options to either obtain a high school diploma or GED in Crawford County.

1)    Traditional GED classes:  Held both in Bucyrus and Galion locations

2)    22+ Program: Were you just a little short on credits? Are you age 22 or older?  You could earn your high school diploma through credit recovery.

3)    Adult Diploma.  If you are age 22 or older you may be able to earn a certificate in Welding or Nurses Aide and get your high school diploma at the same time. You don’t have to leave Crawford County and it’s free!

4)    Do you need help getting re-enrolled in a high school program or need help staying in school?  Our Crawford County Youth Program for 16-24 year olds can help!

Foster & Adoptive parents needed

Are you willing to help a Crawford County child when they need you most?

Crawford County JFS – Children Services is looking for foster parents who are willing to provide a safe, predictable, caring  family environment for a Crawford County child.  The goal of foster care is to reunite children with their families once the problems that led to their removal have been corrected and a foster parent’s role is to be a caregiver and nurturer.   Foster parents are needed in all school districts in Crawford County and also licenses homes in adjoining counties.  Training and 24/7 ongoing support is provided along with monthly payments.  For more information and requirements of being a foster parent please contact Sue Bauer at Crawford County JFS 419-562-0015, # 226 or email Susan.Bauer@jfs.ohio.gov.
