Medicaid is a public health care program funded by the state and federal government. Medicaid provides health care coverage to certain individuals with limited income. Residents of Ohio may receive health care coverage at little or no cost if they meet specific income and eligibility requirements.

Ohio Medicaid provides coverage to the following eligible individuals:

  • Income eligible parents and their children up to age 21
  • Pregnant women
  • Children in foster care
  • Children who have aged out of foster care up to the age of 26
  • Individuals age 65 and older
  • Individuals with disabilities
  • Individuals with low income and who are Medicare Eligible
  • Individuals seeking Nursing Home Care
  • Individuals seeking In-Home Care
  • Individuals seeking Medicare Premium Assistance
  • Adults ranging in ages 19-64, depending upon eligibility factors
